How to Use Star Framing on Seestar for Custom Astrophotography

    When photographing large celestial objects with Seestar, the default field of view may not capture the entire scene. The Star Framing feature lets you customize your frame, adjust magnification and rotation, and create compositions that match your creative vision.

    Step-by-Step Guide to Star Framing

    1. Open the Seestar App, connect your telescope, and go to the SkyAtlas.
    2. Search the Object Library to find your desired target or sky region.
    3. Tap the "Framing" button on the right. A resizable, rotatable box will appear over the map, showing your field of view.
    4. Use the sliders at the bottom to adjust your frame:

      • Magnification: Slide to make the frame larger or smaller, adjusting the field of view.
      • Rotation Angle: Slide to rotate the frame and change the composition angle.
    5. After configuring your frame, tap the "GoTo" button below to begin capturing.
    Note: When using the Framing feature, it is recommended to enable both "Execute enhancement after GOTO" and "Live" (Real-Time Enhancement).
