    NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

    50mm Large Aperture · 4K Dual-Lens · One-Tap Post-Processing· Pro-Level Milky Way Shots · Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life
Seestar today announced the availability of the Seestar S50 Pro Smart Telescope, its latest all-in-one smart telescope designed to deliver higher-performance astrophotography through a simpler, more accessible experience.
Arriving three years after the original Seestar S50, the S50 Pro represents a major upgrade across optics, imaging, performance, and intelligent features. It combines a 50mm aperture, 4K dual-lens imaging, one-tap post-processing, advanced Milky Way imaging tools, and up to 9 hours of battery life in one compact system built for both new explorers and experienced astrophotographers.
The Seestar S50 Pro is available beginning August 25, 2026, through the official Seestar website and select authorized retailers.

Professional-Grade Imaging. All-in-One. Ready for More.

The Seestar S50 Pro brings optics, imaging, tracking, storage, and intelligent processing together in one portable system, reducing the equipment and setup traditionally required for astrophotography.
From NFC connection to automatic target locating, tracking, capture, and processing, the Seestar S50 Pro automates much of the imaging workflow. Beginners can start exploring the night sky in just a few taps, while experienced users can spend more time on composition, imaging strategy, and discovery.

50 mm Aperture. More Light. Finer Detail.

With nearly three times the light-gathering area of a 30 mm aperture, the 50 mm aperture collects more light while providing greater optical resolving power—helping reveal fainter structures and finer details in celestial targets.
Paired with a large 1/1.2-inch 4K sensor, the Seestar S50 Pro captures deep-sky objects with stronger signal and greater detail. A redesigned folded optical system incorporates a four-element apochromatic lens with Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass, helping produce tighter, more precisely rendered stars while keeping the telescope compact and portable.

4K Dual-Lens. Ultra-Clear Imaging to See Deeper and Capture Wider.

Both the telephoto and wide-angle cameras both support 4K UHD imaging at 2160 × 3840 resolution, giving users dedicated perspectives for detailed deep-sky imaging and wide-field astrophotography.
The telephoto camera uses a 1/1.2-inch, 8.3 MP sensor with a 2.8° field of view optimized for capturing finer detail in deep-sky objects. The wide-angle camera uses a 1/2-inch, 8.3 MP sensor with a 63° field of view, capturing expansive starfield while also assisting the main telescope with target locating and tracking.
Together, the dual-camera system expands the available field of view to approximately four times that of the original S50, giving users greater flexibility to move between detailed deep-sky targets and wide-field celestial scenes.

    Pro-Level Milky Way Shots

The Seestar S50 Pro extends beyond traditional deep-sky imaging with new tools designed specifically for Milky Way, nightscape, and star-trail photography.
Starry Sky Mode supports one-tap 8K Milky Way arch stitching, automatically combining multiple frames into an expansive view of the night sky. Freeze the Ground is designed to preserve a clear, natural foreground while maintaining tracked stars, making it easier to create balanced nightscape images.
Intelligent Constellation Recognition enables quick GOTO positioning, while long-exposure star-trail sequences can be automatically transformed into dynamic videos—bringing more forms of night-sky photography into the same streamlined workflow.

Up to Nine Hours of Battery Life. 128 GB of Storage.

    The Seestar S50 Pro measures 140 × 149 × 268 mm and weighs approximately 2.8 kg.
A 10,000mAh battery provides up to 9 hours of battery life, while 128 GB of storage gives users more room for long imaging sessions and multi-target creation.
Whether imaging through the night, observing from a campsite, or traveling with family, users can spend more time capturing rather than frequent charging or storage management.

    Explore More, Effortlessly.

The Seestar App provides access to a database of more than 80,000 deep-sky objects and 600,000 stars, with GOTO positioning, automatic tracking and capture, and Plan Mode for efficient multi-target imaging.
Equatorial Mode compensates for the apparent motion of the sky caused by Earth’s rotation, enabling more stable tracking and longer exposures. The Seestar S50 Pro’s zero-backlash precision drive system delivers smoother tracking and stronger resistance to wind, significantly improving imaging stability and efficiency in Equatorial Mode.
The upgraded tripod supports two operating angles, providing stable three-point support across a wider range of observing environments and terrain.
The experience can also extend beyond the Seestar App. An integrated AI Assistant, remote-control capabilities, ASCOM Alpaca support, and compatibility with third-party software including N.I.N.A. give more advanced users additional flexibility to build the S50 Pro into broader imaging workflows.

    Making Advanced Astrophotography More Accessible

“The technology behind astrophotography can become more sophisticated while the user experience itself becomes simpler. Our goal is to hide that complexity through thoughtful product design and automation, so more people can focus on what really matters: exploring and capturing the universe.”
    — Sam, Founder of Seestar
Backed by more than a decade of astronomical imaging expertise, Seestar continues to lower the barriers to astrophotography by bringing hardware, software, and intelligent automation together in an integrated experience. With substantial upgrades across optics, imaging, precision control, hardware, and software, the Seestar S50 Pro takes that approach further—making it easier for newcomers to begin exploring the night sky while giving experienced users more creative and technical freedom to go further.
